More About Arivu Bharat
India is changing. But untouchables have remained untouchables in rural India even in the 21st century. We have seen shocking and inhuman untouchable practices in hundreds of South Indian villages. The most common insult to Dalits is at the doors of homes of upper castes and public temples. One positive change over the years is that Dalits from outside have entry into some temples and some homes. But native Dalits, in spite of improvement in their financial status, have to stand outside the homes of touchables and public temples. We have started ‘Gruhapravesh’ to invite Dalit brothers and sisters into the houses of upper caste people. Please join hands to make India an untouchability free nation.
Dr. Shivappa Arivu, an Associate Professor in Kolar, initiated the Untouchability Eradication Program in 2014. Many teachers, advocates, social activists, representatives of the people, and officials participated in this noble cause.

Eating in Company of all communities: One positive change over the years is that Dalits from outside have entry into some temples and some homes. Objective of Temple entry is to secure the rights of Dalits. We are creating awareness among all communities to end discrimination in public places like Temples and Mutts. We have successfully convinced the Government of Karnataka to put up boards in front of temples with the message - this temple is open to all, irrespective of caste. With our efforts, people from upper castes have voluntarily invited Dalits into their homes and public temples. We are doing this work since 2014. We request you to take lead in making india untouchability free nation. Arivu Bharat has submitted a request to the Chief Minister of Karnataka, urging the cessation of untouchable practices in the temples of rural Karnataka. The state government has issued a strict directive to all district collectors to install boards in front of Muzrai temples. As a result, numerous temples in Karnataka have transformed into untouchability-free temples. Dr. M R Ravi has launched the second phase of board installations in front of Muzrai temples and has visited several villages to encourage Dalits to enter the temples.
Objective of 'Samateya Tea' program is to invite Dalit brothers and sisters into the houses of upper caste people. We are raising awareness across all communities to eliminate discrimination through the 'Samateya Tea' program. This initiative aims to welcome Dalit brothers and sisters into the homes of upper caste individuals. Thanks to our efforts, members of the upper castes have willingly invited Dalits into their residences with great success.
Arivu Bharat is conducting an oath-taking program in educational institutions across Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Andhra Pradesh. To date, approximately 300,000+ students have taken the oath. "As a responsible citizen of this country, I discard the inhuman and unlawful untouchable practices and I respect the laws framed for the eradication of such practices. I agree that every one has the right to equality and freedom, and inform the same to others. I treat all the people irrespective of caste equally in the matter of entry into homes, temples and other public places. And I make others conscious about all the untouchable practices and pledge to make India an untouchability free nation."
We are raising awareness across all communities to eliminate discrimination by placing stickers on home doors that read "Untouchability Free Home". Through our initiatives, individuals from higher castes have willingly welcomed Dalits into their homes with success.
